We live in a time when the rush for wealth, the technology, the refuge in social networks – all of these alienate us, remove us from the real source of good and wellness: nature. We are increasingly stressed, we are suffocated by consumerism and human relations are getting worse. We forgot to listen to our own inner rhythm and observe the signs of nature. We are stressed, disoriented about the direction to follow in life. Reconnecting with nature and others can give us the inspiration and the energy to move forward and see clearly the path to follow. Visit one of the nursing homes in Amarillo TX and bring joy to someone's life just by caring.
There is no need for scientists, climate scientists, activists or biologists to realize that our planet needs to heal. There is a name for what is happening to mankind at this moment. When cells in our body begin to fight with each other, we call it autoimmune disease. What mankind currently lives, as a super-organism made up of almost 8 billion people, seems exactly like a serious case of autoimmune disease. Except for human beings, all the organisms that form the biosphere are in cooperative relationships.
We build our own extinction by disconnecting ourselves from nature. Scenarios that say that over 30 years there will be no more fish in the ocean seems like science fiction, but they are a scientific reality and a warning sign that we have to change the way we live and find ways to reconnect with nature. It may be the only way left to healing.
