Here are some of the most commune herbs used to treat various affections.

Mint

The benefits of mint have been known since antiquity. It is a curative plant, used as a natural remedy in the treatment of digestive disorders. Mint contains menthol, a natural compound that relaxes intestinal spasms and abdominal discomfort by up to 40%.

Oregano

Women who consume 2 teaspoons of oregano daily, during their periods, will experience less menstrual pain. What actually help to relieve pain are the active compounds called thymol and carvacrol, which relax the uterus muscles to prevent painful contractions.

Parsley

Parsley is a natural diuretic, which improves water retention that induces bloating, preventing salt reabsorption in body tissues. All this happens because of the compounds called apiol and myristicin. Parsley also contributes to protecting the liver and intestines against cancer and has an anti-rheumatic effect.

Basil

Eugenol and rosmarinic acid in basil increase the production of dopamine and serotonin in the brain, contributing to a state of emotional balance.
