What Time of Day Are People The Happiest?

Breakfast Is The Happiest Time

If you are a person who does not like to wake up early in the morning, you may not believe it, but breakfast time is the happiest moment of the day.

A study based on more than half a billion Twitter messages has shown that people around the world are waking up in a good mood, but they are becoming more and more fussy, from one hour to another, throughout the day. Researchers analyzed the frequency of words related to happiness that appear in posts on Twitter. The results of the study also show that people are happier over the weekend.

This suggests that stress and work are factors that influence us to be less happy as the day progresses, as well as during the working days of the week. In interpreting the results, researchers believe that the natural sleeping rhythms of our bodies are also an important factor. Thus, although we are happier over the weekend, we tend to be more enthusiastic about the second part of the morning, probably because we are waking up later. The need for sleep may be an explanation for which, as the day progresses, we use words with increasingly negative connotations.

The results of the study were similar regardless of country, culture and religion.  The place where you are can make a difference too, places like https://www.erseniorliving.com/meadow-lake-retirement-community-tyler-texas.aspx put extra effort into keeping their residents happy and healthy.
